The school enrols students from Play school to Grade 12. The school enrols over 200 students and has a total of 18 teaching staff and three teacher assistants. The school has excellent boarding facilities which are situated within the school itself and also has a multi purpose sports court. 
Goroka Grammar School is situated in the heart of peaceful Goroka town, the capital of Eastern Highlands Province in Papua New Guinea. It is located towards the end of Garden Street opposite the Goroka town Seventh Day Adventist Church. 
The school was established in January 2001, enrolling 62 students under the guidance of the founding principal Mr Paddy Kelly. It was officially opened in November 2002 by the then Governor General of Papua New Guinea Sir Silas Atopare. The school has experienced a lot of changes since then. The most significant of these was the building of a new boys dormitory and a middle school classroom as well as a multi-purpose sports court.
